AARP Foundation Tax-Aide in Rockland County will provide in-person and virtual tax assistance from February 5th through April 10th, 2024 to residents, within our scope, free of charge, with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 or have low to moderate income. This year, due to staffing limitations, tax assistance is available by appointment only; no walk-in assistance will be available. With the loss of many of our skilled volunteer tax preparers, we were forced to dramatically reduce the number of library sites offering tax preparation services. All of our tax preparations are done by trained volunteers who must complete training and pass IRS certification annually to assist in tax preparation.
